Democracy Runs on Citizen Involvement
Here's how you can help:
The Whatcom Democrats work year-round to develop the communications networks, electioneering tools, and leadership and volunteer skills to support candidates who share our values.
CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Our endorsed candidates are running against incumbents who:
- voted to cut funding for the Bellingham Food Bank just when they need it the most;
- sided with a Gravel Mining corporation to allow the destruction of the water table in the South Fork valley of the Nooksack River over the unanimous objections of the residents;
- voted to cut the county's Women & Infant Children (WIC) low-income nutrition program;
- blocked a locally-owned business from installing clean wind power.
Volunteer now by sending an email:
- Make reminder phone calls to Democrats to get-out-the-vote - CALL 647-7661
- Distribute our candidate slate card to Bellingham neighborhoods Nov 4- 5 -- CALL 647-7661
- Contribute to our Campaign Fund so we can make last-minute contacts with voters
