Minds on the Edge: Facing Mental Illness, a film screening at St. Luke’s Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Parkway, hosted by Whatcom NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

This film connects the dots between personal dilemmas, medical practices that can be obstacles to treatment, and public policies that often fall short in providing support. The one-hour PBS documentary zeros in on wrenching and confounding situations that are playing out every day in homes and hospital ERs, on city streets and school campuses, in courtrooms and in jails, as Americans struggle with severe mental illness.
