Int'l Human Rights Day

In observance of International Human Rights Day, the Whatcom Human Rights Task Force will host ‘Universal Human Rights: Promises and Challenges’ with Dr. Babafemi Akinrinade. All are welcome. 7:00 PM at the Community Food Co-Op, 1220 N. Forest Street. Join a candlelight ceremony in honor of all Human Rights advocates. Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world. To mark this day, Amnesty International is conducting a global Write-A-Thon. Using the proven power of writing letters, citizens will pressure authorities to release those who have been unjustly imprisoned and to stop the torture and abuse of others.
