On Tuesday, April 27, The Whatcom Interfaith Group (TWIG) will host its latest Interfaith Conversation Café at Faith Lutheran Church, 2750 McLeod Road in Bellingham.  This popular quarterly series has brought together people from many religious traditions including Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Zoroastrianism, Sikhism, and others.

People of goodwill are invited to an evening of lively discussion and rich exploration starting at 7:00 PM.  This quarterly series was created to foster understanding and compassion among people of various faiths.  Participants sit at small tables for facilitated discussion.  Refreshments are served.  On April 27, guests will discuss these questions:

  • Have there been moments in your life when you became aware of the suffering of others and how have you or your faith community responded in light of this suffering?
  •  Have you or your faith community ever felt like a minority, outsider, or different?  How has that experience influenced you or your faith community?
  •  What relationship does your faith community have with any of the minorities in your community?
