Increase Rural Public Transportation
WHEREAS commuting vehicles from rural Whatcom County significantly increase congestion and negatively contribute to air quality and global warming; and
WHEREAS public transportation alternatives are not sufficient to meet commuting needs;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that WTA increase the number and frequency of bus routes to and from rural Whatcom County and the urban centers.
