Comprehensive Benefits to Veterans of Foreign Wars
WHEREAS United States citizens have volunteered to serve in the Armed Forces and have been sent to foreign lands where they have been engaged in armed conflict; and
WHEREAS these Armed Forces earned benefits including comprehensive health care; and
WHEREAS proposals have been made to reduce benefits to veterans;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Democrats (WCDCC) support veterans benefits and urge Congress to restore budget cuts and provide comprehensive benefits, including mental health services, to veterans of foreign wars.
