Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival

Through an annual film festival BHRFF supports independent filmmakers, fosters dialogue and promotes action. For twelve years, volunteer committee members have selected scores of insightful and moving films they hope will encourage the community to explore and engage with critical issues. Films are followed by facilitated discussion, some led by the filmmakers themselves.

 January 21st is the anniversary of the court decision Citizens United vs Federal Election Commission, which ruled that money is speech and corporations may spend unlimited amounts of money on politics. On January 20th, Move to Amend and many Occupy groups around the country will be occupying their courthouses in protest of this decision.
